“Regrets and mistakes, they’re memories made.”

We all want things done our way.

There’s always the “right way” to dress, eat food, change a diaper, write an English paper, draw a still life, date a boy, raise a child, and the list goes on and on.

    But I think that’s crap.

If we really pay attention, let’s look at raising a child, for example. We were all raised differently. We all come from different backgrounds. Obviously no one raised every one of us the in same exact manner, and yet for the most part, WE ALL TURNED OUT OKAY. We’re still here, and we’re alive. Our parents must have done something right.

WRITING. Teachers all show us different methods of writing an essay, and many of them actually contradict another. But in the end, each of them have their own unique outcome and we become aware of the way we write because they all accumulated from past teachers.

So why is it that everyone pretends to have everything figured out and they think that their way is the right way? Then they go ahead and criticize the way another person lives because they think their philosophy is the right way. So at one moment one person is smacking their belief into someone’s brain and then the next second, another person is telling her the contrary.

There is more than just one way to do things, you know. Life isn’t always black and white, and in most cases, they’re just one big gray area.

Isn’t the whole point to live every day and see where your life takes you? So that you come up with your own way of doing things that works for you? If you do something that you end up regretting, then it might be a good thing you did it. After all, this is basically the way to figure out whether what we’re doing is right or wrong. We see it through the consequences.

It’s like, I just want to figure things out myself. And if what you’re trying to change isn’t affecting eternity, don’t be spending so much time trying to convince me what I want and don’t want. I’m an adult (or so they say) and I’m pretty sick of people telling me what’s right and what’s wrong.
